| We are pleased to announce that Richard Barnes has been presented with the Excellence in Photography Award by the Julius Shulman Institute. There will be a private opening, cocktail reception, and awards ceremony from 5:30–7:30 pm to be followed by a public opening from 7:30 to 10pm of his show Unnatural Spaces, on Sunday, October 9th, 2011 at the Ahmanson Main Space at Woodbury University.

| We would like to congratulate Margaret de Lange on her new project, "Surrounded by No One." Her book is set to launch October 20th at Fotografiska, the same time as the opening of the show, featuring 82 photographs. She has already received an Honorable Mention for pictures from this project in Lens Culture International Exposure Award 2010!

The exhibition focuses on contemporary artists who use animals in their works to reflect the dynamic of culture and the natural world. The show will run from October to November 12th.
